Fakir is an Israeli of Ethiopian origin, who immigrated to Israel more than ten years ago. Back in Ethiopia she met Yigra, who came to Israel as an asylum seeker due to persecution in his homeland. When Yigra arrived in Israel, a relationship slowly developed between the two and they came to us to help them settle Yigra’s status. Adv. Chen Weiss filed a request to settle the couple’s status and in the meantime the couple was blesses with a child. Thankfully, by correctly presenting the case, we convinced the Ministry of the Interior to grant the couple a visa and recognize the relationship. Here are the couple in the photo with Adv.
