Natan and Elizabeth (mother and son) are citizens of Ethiopia, living in Israel for over two decades. Natan was born here, and their status in the country was settled in the past due to Natan’s father’s status, who was recognized as a refugee. Elizabeth and her son received status many years ago, but they were unaware of their rights, and the Ministry of the Interior did not exactly bother to recognize them.
Elizabeth raised Natan like a lioness. He was born in Israel, educated in the Israeli education system, and wanted to enlist in the IDF and live like an Israeli – but they didn’t let him. We took the case under our wing and fought without giving up for several years to settle Natan’s and his mother’s status in Israel.
After conducting legal proceedings by our office, led by attorney Omri Ratnovsky, including proceedings in the Supreme Court, the CEO finally granted Natan his Israeli residency.
In the photo, you can see Elizabeth’s smile – worth everything to us – alongside adv. Tomer Warsha, Omri Ratnovsky, and Michael Cohen-ed.
We will not give up or rest until justice is done.
