Congratulations to Israeli citizen Tamar and Ukrainian national Alex, for whom we were able to overturn the Population Authority’s decision to deport Alex from the country despite a proven relationship!

The fact that the couple was already engaged and wanted to get married did not prevent the Population Authority from attempting to deport Alex from the country, as if Tamar had no rights! Separating an Israeli citizen from her spouse is something that the Ministry of the Interior has no problem doing. But after the couple contacted us, they filed an appeal with the Appeals Court and we were able to overturn the terrible decision, while the court harshly criticised the Population Authority.
